Update: As of April 3, 2006, states I've visited on a motorcycle are now in reddish-orange. In late July, 2008, I converted Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado from just-visited to motorcycle-visited.
U.S. States, with first contact, in roughly chronological order:
- California - born here, in Pasadena
- Pennsylvia - passed through Pittsburgh airport on the way to the UK in 1972
- New York - passed through JFK on the way back from the UK in 1972
- Arizona - trip to the river in 1976
- Nevada - don't remember, but probably an early trip to Vegas or Laughlin
- Texas - work trip to IBM in Austin, in 1985 or '86
- Minnesota - work trip to Cray Research, probably 1988
- Michigan - work trip to a conference in Ann Arbor in 1989.
- Florida - Tupperware Jubilee in Orlando in 1989
- Georgia - passed through Hartsfield on the way to Orlando
- Oregon - helping my sister move, early '90s
- Washington - on the trip to Oregon
- Idaho - while visiting Cyndy in Spokane
- Utah - wedding trip to Boulder, CO in 2001
- Colorado - wedding trip to Boulder in 2001
- Virginia - chaperone of a school trip with Justin in 2002
- DC - chaperone of a school trip with Justin in 2002
- Hawaii - soccer tournament in July, 2002.
- Indiana - flew to Indianapolis on the way to pick up Carole's Vette in January, 2003
- Kentucky - picked up Carole's Vette in Bowling Green in January, 2003
- Tennessee - drove thru on the way back from Kentucky in January, 2003
- Mississippi - made a special detour to touch in on the way back from Kentucky in January, 2003
- Arkansas - drove thru on the way back from Kentucky in January, 2003
- Oklahoma - drove thru on the way back from Kentucky in January, 2003
- New Mexico - drove thru on the way back from Kentucky in January, 2003
- Illinois - drove thru on the way back from Vette 50th Anniversary in June/July 2003
- Missouri - drove thru on the way back from Vette 50th Anniversary in June/July 2003
- Kansas - drove thru on the way back from Vette 50th Anniversary in June/July 2003
